Carica papayaThe papaya tree (2-10 meters tall) has unbranched stems with yellow-green leaves and produces white flowers that turn into sweet, pear-shaped fruits with numerous small black seeds containing peppery-tasting latex. The stem is cylindrical, 10-30 cm in diameter, and hollow with prominent leaf scars. Leaves are long (up to 105 cm), deeply divided into 5-9 segments, and contain large amounts of white latex. Flowers are tiny and yellow, funnel-shaped, and come in three types: female flowers have a large pistil but no stamens; male flowers have 10 stamens but no ovary; hermaphrodite flowers have both stamens and an ovary. Male and female flowers appear on separate trees. Fruits are cylindrical with fleshy orange pulp, thin yellow skin when ripe, and vary in shape depending on the type of flower they came from. Seeds are numerous, small, black, and round, covered in a gelatinous aril. The fruit is edible and can be used to make various products such as jams, jellies, marmalades, candies, and crystallized fruits.

This fast-growing tree has a relatively short lifespan of just 5-6 years.

How to use:

Powdered Herb:

The powdered herb can be used in a variety of ways.

You can add powdered herbs to various food products such as superfood blends, smoothies, sauces, spreads, and baked goods like cookies. For children, mix the powder with a sweetener like honey or glycerin to create a paste. The thicker the paste, the more intense the herbal flavor will be. This method is also known as "Electuaries", which uses a sweetener to mask any bitterness and make the herb more palatable.

Home-encapsulated powder ensures purity by eliminating fillers and additives. Capsules can be dissolved in a liquid for consumption.

To make a poultice, mix an herbal powder with a liquid, typically water, to create a paste that can be applied directly to the skin, providing relief from various skin issues.

Mix powdered herbs with water, fruit juice, or another liquid to create a concentrated herbal drink.
