Ginger originates from Asia, where it typically reaches a height of 2 to 3 feet and produces white or yellow flowers. This plant thrives in hot, humid climates found in many tropical regions worldwide. Characterized by broad leaves that emerge directly from the ground, ginger rarely blooms. The edible root is commonly referred to as fresh ginger.adrakThis product features a dried root. sonthIn many parts of India, the rhizome is processed by boiling it in water before drying. The outer layers are then removed through scraping. Ginger has a long history as an aphrodisiac across Asia, from China to Turkey. In traditional Chinese medicine, dried ginger rhizomes are used to treat internal cold, while fresh ginger addresses external cold (Bone, 1997). As a versatile spice, ginger is widely used in Asian cooking to add flavor to various dishes, including meats, marinades, fish, curries, soups, sauces, rice, and stir-fries.

How to use:

To prepare a decoction, combine 1 tablespoon of dried herbs with 1 cup of water in a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 30-60 minutes. Strain the liquid and press out any remaining solids to extract as much liquid as possible.

Tips:

  • Herbal decoctions can be sweetened using a small amount of honey, natural fruit juice, stevia leaf powder, or licorice root powder.
